WBC
またWBCが始まる。今のところ盛り上がっているのは日本だけの様だけど、これはこれでOK。日本だけ盛り上がってそれで優勝出来なかったらちょっと格好悪いけど、やるなら本気で必死でやって欲しいものです。
それにしても野球日本代表の人気がすごい。人がなかなか集まらないサッカー代表に比べると雲泥の差。その競技の最高の選手が集まるところは同じなんだけどねえ、たしかに野球の代表は見慣れない感じがあって新鮮さがあるけど、それだけじゃない。これは多分歴史の長さに支えられた「伝統」、「文化」として、野球の方が生活に「馴染んでいる」って事なんだろうなあ。サッカー協会は指をくわえて見ているに違いない。それにしても野球代表選手全員の年俸を足し算したらいくらになるんだろう。多分Jリーグの2、3チームの年間予算ぐらいはあるんだろうなあ。
