泣ける映画
土曜日のスマステ（恥）で「泣ける映画BEST30」というのをやっていた。涙を誘う映画をランキング形式で紹介していたのだが、そのトップが「タイタニック」という、いつもながらのグダグダランキングであった。今までに
「ヒーロー BEST30」
「ヒロイン BEST30」
を発表していたけど、どれも突っ込み所満載のランキングであった。しかしこれは仕方ないこと。どのランキングにしても必ず文句が出るのは当たり前。ランキングを発表するその勇気は認めないといけないのだ。
さて、泣ける映画といえば皆さんの心に一つはあるだろう。「ショーシャンクの空に」だったり、「ニュー・シネマ・パラダイス」だったり、変わりもののあなたは「Mr.ビーン」で泣くかも知れない。「ロッキー」だって泣き所満載だし、「酔拳」でだって泣ける人はいるだろう。どんな映画でも、必ず泣きポイントは入っているのだ。
しかし、非常に良くない現象として「泣ける映画を作る」というのがある。観客を泣かせるためにわざわざ映画を作ってしまう流行である。この傾向は邦画にとても顕著な時期があって、あのセカチューから始まったと思う。
「セカチュー」→「いま、会いにゆきます」→「1リットルの涙」
と、泣ける事を前提として映画を作り、観客は
「泣けるらしいよ」
という評判を耳にし、泣くために劇場に行くのだ・・・。泣く準備をして映画館に向かうなんて全く本末転倒である。
こうなるとパターンが出来てしまう。
「不治の病におかされ、余命何ヶ月の登場人物」
「けなげにもその人は弱音を吐かない」
「愛する人を救えない傷をいつまでも引きずる大人」
「大人に傷つけられ、心を閉ざした少女」
「息子・娘を理解できずに苦しむ大人」
「虐待された犬（耳が一つなかったりする）」
「親の愛情を感じない子供」
「いい所で登場人物が死ぬ」
等のパターンが存在する。おまけにこれらは低年齢層を狙っており、より罪深いと言える。
バカが泣くのは別にいいんだけど、問題は「泣ける映画=いい映画」という図式が作られてしまう事である。泣ける映画がいい映画・面白い映画として認識されるのは非常に危険な事だと思う。
