悲しい時
ヤンキーの皆様が良くお召しになっている派手な模様や文字が入ったダボっとしたジャージ。どこで売っているのかが謎であります。、ショップは見たことはないのだが、着ている人は良く見かける。夜のドンキホーテに行くと着用率はかなり高くて、あれでも色々と種類があるのね、と感心してしまいます。
思うにヤンキースタイルは2通りあって、一つはジャージの上下に白いサンダル。もう一タイプはユニクロのものと思われるスウェットの上下。アレがいいとか悪いとかいうつもりは全然ありませんが、許せない事が一つだけある。
先日、忘年会の帰りに全員がジャージをまとったヤンキー集団とすれ違った時の事。遠くから見ると「バスケ部の忘年会？」と思ってしまいます。みんなジャージとサンダルでキメていて、集団で歩いているとそりゃ目立つものです。僕は彼らを見ながら通り過ぎようとした時、集団の一人のジャージの刺繍に見とれました。表面に英字で詩みたいな文面が入っていた。読んでみたら「闇が世界を覆う時・・・」みたいな文面であった。そして左足表面の膝のちょっと下に刺繍があったのです。面白い所に刺繍入っているなあ、そこも格好いいなあ、今度フロリグッズに取り入れるか、なんて思って刺繍を読んでみたら「rebolution」と書いてあったのです。「レボリューション」とは「革命」の事で、そりゃヤンキージャージにピッタリの言葉だとは思うけど、正しくは「revolution」なのです。僕は格好悪いと思う前に、なんだか腹がたってしまいました。革命という言葉を入れるのなら、そこら辺は失敗の出来ない所じゃないか！。着ている本人が気付いているかどうかな不明ですけど、作る方はそこら辺をしっかりしてくれなきゃ。これでは間違った漢字を格好いいと思う外人と同じで、ププッとされてしまいます。裏でププッとされる程悲しいものはないんだから・・・。
