買うということ
毎年の事だけど、福袋争奪戦は見ていて面白い。争奪戦を見るためだけにデパートまで出かけようと思うぐらいである。安いという理由で買ったものというのはほとんどが利用されずに終わるのに・・・、なんて思いながら見ていると、誰もが「本当は金を使う理由が欲しいんじゃないか？」と思えてくる。
確かに年末・年始には「いつもよりちょっと大目に金使ってみようか！」という空気は流れている。福袋、初売り、バーゲン。僕にも色んなサッカーショップからメールが来ていた。プラクティス系、ユニ系、デッドストックユニの販売もあって、
「とりあえず何か買いたいな」
という気分にさせられる。これって不思議な事で、普段は「アレが欲しい、コレが欲しい」と特定の商品は決まっているけど、この場合は「なんが買ってみようかな」という、非常に曖昧ではっきりとしない気持ちなんだよね。
誰にも物質主義な側面はある。いい事じゃないとは分かっていながらも、金を使う時に生まれる快楽を知っている。欲しいものが手に入ったときの喜びってたしかにあるからね。そいう社会だから仕方ない事ではあるし、経済活動でみれば大事な事でもある。そう思うと、中身の見えない福袋というのはパチンコや競馬みたいに、ギャンブルに近い消費になるのかな。少ない金で得を得たいという大きな共通点があるしね。ま、僕が金についての意見を述べても全く説得力はありませんが。福袋で痛い目にあった事もあるしね。
