インターネットの最終地点
物欲の解放には恐ろしい程の効果があるインターネット。クレジットカード一枚とマウスがあれば、この世で変えないものない、というぐらいにありとあらゆるものが売られている。僕はインターネットの存在理由はここにあると思っていて、つまり資本主義の最高の発明なのでは、と思っていた。が、最近NHKでとても面白い特集をしていて、インターネットの真の恐ろしさを知りました。
20代前半のアメリカ人若者。彼は仕事をせず、googleに広告を載せる事で生活費を得ている。面白いのは彼は生活を全てgoogleにゆだねている。買い物はインターネットショッピング、料理はインターネットのレシピ、行き先はgoogleマップで調べる。決して引きこもりのオタクというわけではなく、ただ生活での行動を全てネット経由で行っているのだ。インターネット中毒といえば分かりやすく、僕らの誰にでもその気持ちを少しだけ理解できると思うけど、最近彼が始めたのは生活の記録である。会った人、食べたもの、買ったもの、見た映画、読んだ本、全てを記録しているのだ。ただのネット中毒ではなく、記憶までインターネットに頼っているのだ。これは大した事じゃないように思えるけど、考えようによってはその存在をネットに託している事になる。
googleの最終地点は「この世の全ての情報を検索出来るようにする」である。彼はそれをふまえて、
「例え僕が死んでも、ネットの海の中に存在し続ける」
と言った時に僕は怖くなった。倫理的にとか、人間性がどうのこうのとかそんな安いものじゃなく、もっと根本的な恐怖を感じたんだよね。知らないうちに蝕まれているよな・・・。そしてそれを受け入れちゃっているような。インターネットの最終地点はここにあるのかなんて思ったら怖くなったよ、マジで。

When I initially commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Many thanks!

Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
